You cannot find a more beautiful place to learn to fly.  The San Francisco Bay area offers pilots and their passengers amazing views of mountains, famous bridges, building, and landmarks, miles of coast line, and San Francisco Bay.  From any of the Bay Area’s general aviation airports, you are only a few minutes away from wooded hillsides, lakes and rivers, farmlands, and the cliffs and beaches of the Pacific Coast.

 

Above and around the natural beauty of the San Francisco Bay area, pilots will find a sophisticated airspace allowing access to our three major airports SFO, Oakland International, and San Jose International.  Student pilots training at San Carlos or Palo Alto Airports get experience coordinating with airport control towers, approach and departure control center as well as practice at uncontrolled airstrips like Half Moon Bay and South County.  A pilot who trained in the San Francisco Bay area can confidently fly anywhere knowing that they have a solid understanding of airspace and air traffic control.
